I WANT TO BE NIGERIAN PRESIDENT

I have watched from sideline and read from history and have come to the conclusion that we have not moved forward as a country [nation] because nobody has ever wanted to rule Nigeria to make a Nigeria. All has been ethnic warlords and mongers. Deficient in ideas and celebrated mediocre.

I want to be the President that will look all the ethnic groups in Nigeria and tell them to go home and restrict their mongering in their community town halls.

I want to be the President that will ask Nigerians to stone me and my entire family to death should they find any trace of corruption during or after my reign.

I want to be the President that will look the past heads of states and presidents eye ball to eye ball and ask them to return their loot back to Nigeria or be buried alive by the masses.

I want to be the President that will call on present and past governors to render account of their stewardship and forfeit to the states all ill gotten wealth and properties stashed away both home and abroad or be stoned to death in their villages. What shall I tell Nigerians? That I kept a rogue within me and give him a presidential cover from prosecution and still preach zero tolerance to corruption and rule of law? No, my Nigeria will not permit such characters within the corridors of power.

I want to be the President that will prosecute to the later any one who is involved in corruption rather than involve them in the kitchen cabinet of my administration, or in more ridiculous cases allow them to be fined #3m for stealing and wasting billions of naira.

I want to be the President that does not care who appoints INEC chairman because I know, I will do so well in my first term that Nigerians will line the streets to appeal to me to “please re-contest”. I want to be a president that does not need to visit a state to campaign or manipulate elections for a co-party member[s] but who Nigerians on just knowing the member belongs to my party will unilaterally vote for him because they know he will do well like me naturally.

I want to be the President that will prepare the ground for any eligible Nigerian to stand for an election any where in the country and win regardless of your state or tribe. I want to be the President that will make it possible for a Calabar Man and Akwa Ibom Woman to stand as a presidential and vice presidential candidate in Nigeria and win because they are the best around and not being judged by ethnic, sex or religious consideration. Just like when Nigeria is involved in a match, we all rejoice when a goal is scored, nobody is interested to know the tribe of the goal scorer.

I want to be the President that will put majority of the wasting vast land across the nation into productive use, build up the groundnuts pyramids in the north, cocoa in the East and West, Palm Oil in the East and South, Nollywood heaven in Lagos, make Afenifere leaders think of how to use cocoa to create jobs for the teaming youth and not regale themselves with old legacies while adding nothing to it, make Ohaneze feel fully integrated in the scheme of things in their nation and stop calling for futile war, and Arewa think of how to put many of our future leaders off the streets rather than use them as tool of terror and destruction against their fellow citizens, make Niger-Deltans think of productive engagements rather than kidnap infants for easy money or waste their lives. In my Nigeria, every citizen fit to earn a living will have something to do to contribute

meaningfully to national development, and those not fit for jobs will be taken care of in such a way that will make the national pledge mean what it says to them.

I want to be the President that will build shoe factories and local car assembly plants in the East because they are technologically inclined and are fit to produce the best, fish processing plants in the South because they have the seas, asphalt development and processing plant in the West because is lying there wasting and is a gold mine which must be exploited , agricultural processing plants in the North. And the total development of the Ajaokuta steel, to put Nigeria on the map for integrated national development, and create the bases for local fabrication and manufacturing of cars, ships, steel related building materials and mechanical tools and even the exportation of liquid iron, which is another heavy foreign income earner.

I want to be President that will make each state generate it own electricity with resources within them and get complimented by the federal government, and not talk about national grid that grids nothing. In my Nigeria, diesel will be sold at a far reduced rate to ensure that transportation is cheap and factories are running and creating jobs for the ever increasing population who now only resort to fasting and praying in various churches and mosques for jobs that are non-existent. In my Nigeria, people can live in Umuahia and yet resume work each day in Lagos or Kano at 7.00am and return home by 5.00pm each day because I will put the Nigerian Railway Corporation in excellent conditions and employ the use of electric trains from North – West -East – South.

I want to be a President that will not allow any probe report involving corruption and the waste of public funds to gather dust in any arm of the government. I want to be president that will punish any national assembly member that will take bribe to sabotage the collective will of the masses.

I want to be a President that will service and pay Nigeria police well and make them see how beautiful a profession it is for them to choose to serve their fatherland. A police force that will feel insulted and prosecute you in return when you offer them bride to punish the just for the unjust. A police officer that will know that, he is being paid to serve his fatherland and not to be used by desperate individuals to achieve selfish end. A police force that will know that security is for all and not for few.

I want to be the President that will not look at the rank of an officer who ordered the beating up of an armless woman and cause her to be striped naked in the public, I want to be the President that will dismiss such an officer and cause him to be prosecuted without delay and his daughters or wife stripped naked also in the public to show him how not to exercise power. “Control is everything”

I want to be the President that will not allow a judge to favor me because of my position as President but shall treat my case as clearly defined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I will not want to be a President that will stampede the judiciary to give me the electoral victory which I never merited.

I want to be the President that will appoint young and dynamic youths into government to contribute their quota to national development rather than re-cycling the same old faces that has ruled and ruined the country in the past. The fundamental question I will ask myself is; if they did so well during their time why the nation is is so poor and all the infrastructures decayed and they are so rich and living in stupendous affluence? Why Nigerian Railway Corporation, Nigeria Airways, Nigeria National Shipping Line, National Electric Power Authority, Education, Water resources, Agriculture, Nigeria Refinery, Road Network and Maintenance, all failed. I will ask myself, if they did not contribute then in their prime what can they do now?

I want to be a President that will build and have an efficient maintenance of our refinery to the point that Nigeria will not export crude oil but sale to the international community a refined and finished product, thereby retaining all the byproducts of the crude oil which is another springboard for other manufacturing companies to operate create jobs.

I want to be that President. Just that President, that Can allow Vision and Ideas thrive regardless of who conceived it. That is the only way to a better and prosperous Nation.
